Abstract
It is well known that heart rate is closely related with sex, age, physicochemical changes of body, electrocardiogram, and blood pressure. The present study was perfonned to analyze some relationships between a variety of heart rates and above parameters such as sex or physicochemical changes of body. Thus we measured heart rates using electrocardiogram for 482 nonnal adults(males 226, females 256) who had entered to SungDong-Gu Health Center, Seoul to determine health states and classified into three groups; bradycardia( ¡Â60beatsjmin), nonnocardia(60-100beats/min), and tachycardia( ¡Ã100beatsjmin). The physicochemical parameters of each groups were focused to obesity and blood levels for total cholesterol or glucose. Most of heart rate(66.74¡¾9.30beats/min), age(40-60 years old), physical alteration and blood pressure were no differences all of the subjects. The bradycardia group were 22.61%, the nonnal heart rate group were 76.98% and the tachycardia group were 0.41%, respecti vely. In electrocardiogram, change of P wave and QRS complex were no significant differences, but in the normal group and bradycardia group, PQ interval was prolonged than tachycardia groups(p<0.001). Body height, body weight, BMI and PIBW were observed a tendency to increase in the tachycardia group, but it was not significantly. Systolic pressure and diastolic pressure were observed a tendency to increase in the tachycardia group, but it was not significantly. Total cholesterol were observed significantly increased in the tachycardia group(p<0.01), but blood glucose was not differences significantly. These results indicate that blood pressure, BMI, PIBW, and blood total cholesterol or glucose levels have affects on electrocardiogram such as heart rates. In conclusion, this paper suggests that electrocardiogram is very useful method to give some biologic informations to evaluation of health states.
